📌 Commas

  • Series: apples, oranges, and pears
  • Before a conjunction joining 2 full clauses: …hard, so I passed
  • After an intro phrase: After the shift, she left

📌 Apostrophes

  • Possession: the dog's bone (singular)
  • Contraction: it's = it is · they're = they are
  • NO apostrophe for a plain plural (dogs)

📌 Confused Words

  • its (owns) vs it's (it is)
  • their (owns) / there (place) / they're (they are)
  • affect (verb) vs effect (noun)
